Quartz Countertops in Houston

Quartz is the most popular countertop material we install — and for good reason. Engineered from natural quartz crystals bound with resin, it delivers the look of marble or granite with a non-porous surface that never needs sealing. Whether you are remodelling a kitchen, updating a bathroom vanity, or outfitting a commercial space, quartz suits virtually every application and budget tier.

Majestic Stone handles every step in-house. We template your space with digital measuring tools, fabricate your tops in our own Houston shop, and install them with our own crew — so there is one point of contact and one standard of quality from start to finish. We serve homeowners, interior designers, builders, and contractors across Greater Houston.

Common questions about quartz countertops

Is quartz heat-resistant?

Quartz is more heat-sensitive than granite. The resin binders in engineered quartz can discolour or crack under sustained high heat, so trivets and hot pads are recommended near cooktops and ovens.

Does quartz stain?

Quartz is non-porous, so it does not absorb liquids the way natural stone can. Most spills wipe away easily with a damp cloth and mild soap — no sealing required.

Will I see seams in my quartz countertop?

Seams are unavoidable on runs longer than a single slab, but our fabricators place and polish them to minimise visibility. Consistent-pattern colours hide seams better than heavily veined designs.

How long does fabrication and installation take?

After your template appointment, fabrication typically takes 5–10 business days. Installation is usually completed in a single day. Total timeline from signed contract to installed tops is commonly 2–3 weeks.

What affects the price of quartz countertops?

The main factors are total square footage, slab colour and brand tier, edge profile, number of cutouts (sinks, cooktops), and whether a waterfall or full-height backsplash is included. Our online estimator accounts for all of these.

How do I care for quartz countertops?

Daily cleaning with warm water and a mild dish soap is all that is needed. Avoid abrasive scrubbers, bleach-based cleaners, and prolonged UV exposure on outdoor installations. Quartz never needs sealing.

What is the difference between quartz and quartzite?

Quartz is an engineered product — natural quartz crystals are ground up and bound with resin to create a consistent, non-porous slab. Quartzite is a 100% natural stone that forms when sandstone is exposed to intense heat and pressure underground. Quartzite has unique natural veining like marble but is harder and more heat-resistant; quartz offers more colour consistency and requires no sealing.
